Information We Collect

United Way of the Southern Tier collects information in a variety of ways and through a variety of means. These include:

In those cases, our web servers collect the name of the domain you used to access the Internet (such as aol.com) and the website you came from and visit next. This information is used by us to measure the number of visits, average time spent, page views, and other statistics about visitors to our website. We also use this data to monitor site performance and to make the site easier and more convenient for you to use. This information is in no way directly linked to you as an individual.

Email

·        We reserve the right to keep any email sent to us.

·        Any personally identifying information in that email is covered by the terms of this policy.

Cookies are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a website. Cookies are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s hard drive. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that website by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related web pages. This makes it easier for a user to move from web page to web page and to complete commercial transactions over the Internet. Cookies should make your online experience easier and more personalized.
