United Way Awards Breakfast
United Way’s Annual Dinner is held to highlight United Way’s accomplishments over the past year and to publicly recognize companies and individual volunteers. Numerous awards are presented at this event, which is attended by many of our area’s prominent organizations and community leaders.

United Way Annual Dinner/Shand Award Presentation
United Way’s Annual Dinner is held to celebrate the previous year’s successes highlight the upcoming campaign. Special recognition is rewarded to the Shand Award winner, a volunteer who has demonstrated a lifetime of exemplary volunteer service to the Chemung and/or Steuben communities.

United Way Campaign Kick-Off
More than 200 people are expected to attend the annual United Way Campaign Kick-Off Celebration, an event that is the official start of the United Way Campaign. The event, a sit-down dinner, features the announcement of the Campaign Goal, and a keynote address.

Publications
Community Report
This United Way publication is distributed to nearly 3,000 people throughout the Southern Tier, including top management of all local employers. This publication most fully describes the positive impact that programs supported by the United Way Community Fund in the five identified impact areas and strategic initiatives deliver to our community and the power of donations to the Community Fund.
Included in each report, United Way of the Southern Tier publicly recognizes members of the Leadership Society and lists the names of those in our community who have given generously by donating $500 or more per year.

Your Community Investment at Work
This annual publication outlines the many funded programs supported by United Way of the Southern Tier. This valuable brochure provides contact information and a description of the services offered. Employees of all company campaigns throughout Chemung and Steuben Counties will be exposed to your company name if you reserve this opportunity today.

Loaned Executive Training
Each year companies in Chemung County “loan” their employees and to United Way and many others volunteer their time to help coordinate workplace campaigns at no less than 140 organizations.
This helps to keep overhead low. After the training, Loaned Executives spend anywhere from 2 to 20 hours per week helping to run campaigns by meeting with company coordinators, delivering campaign materials, and making group presentations.

Company Coordinator Training
This training is offered to individuals who are the internal volunteers running the United Way Campaign in their workplace. Individuals attending this training receive education and materials to help run successful campaigns at their workplace. Should funds allow, Company Coordinators will visit selected funded programs.
