16th Annual Trike Race to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier

Sept. 20, 2019:

CORNING -- Teams from five area banks and credit unions will hop on tricycles at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, in Elmira, and find out who has the fastest feet in the financial sector.

Community Bank N.A. in Elmira will host the 16th Annual Trike Race, a fundraiser to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier.

The event is a relay race with adults riding child-size tricycles as fast as they can in order to win the coveted Trike Trophy.

The year’s race will take place in the parking lot of Community Bank N.A. at 300 W. Water St. in downtown Elmira.

Community Bank will defend its 2018 title as it rides against teams from Chemung Canal Trust Company, Corning Credit Union, Five Star Bank and First Heritage Federal Credit Union.

Spectators are welcome for this fun – and fast – race, which will be held rain or shine.
