Event raises nearly $40,000 for United Way of the Southern Tier
Williams, an energy infrastructure company with an office at Airport Corporate Park in Big Flats, raised nearly $40,000 for United Way of the Southern Tier through their 5th Annual Clays for a Cause event.
Nearly 250 participants attended the sporting clay shoot held at Thunder Ridge Sporting Clays and Game Farm in Middlebury Center, Pennsylvania.
"Williams is very pleased to hold the Clays for a Cause, which serves as an opportunity to raise funds for the United Way while providing an enjoyable event for participants. Our approach to community involvement is to serve as an exceptional neighbor in communities where we live and work, "said Billie DeMott, Williams Field Office Administrator Senior.
Clays for a Cause raised $39,286.73 for United Way of the Southern Tier. Additionally, the United Way of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, also received a generous donation from the proceeds of the May 11 event. Williams support of the local United Ways includes matching dollars that double employee and special event giving.
