United Way of the Southern Tier announces the addition of Lois Wilson as Manager of Communications and Media Relations. 

Wilson will focus on United Way’s marketing efforts to increase community awareness of the organization’s strategic initiatives: Southern Tier Kids on Track, Southern Tier Senior Supports and Southern Tier Basic Needs Network.

“I’m thrilled to join the United Way of the Southern Tier where I will combine my passion for sharing stories about our community with my desire to help our children succeed, our seniors feel secure, and our neediest residents find hope and opportunity,” Wilson said in a prepared statement. 

Wilson, who lives in Pine City, joins the United Way from the Star-Gazette where she was an editor for nearly 20 years and where she most recently worked as an advertising account executive.
