Tour de Keuka rolls August 3 to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier

United Way of the Southern Tier will host the Tour de Keuka charity bike ride on Saturday, August 3, 2024, around picturesque Keuka Lake.

More than 235 riders from 13 states are registered for this year’s event.

Proceeds from the ride will support the work of United Way of the Southern Tier, which focuses on children, senior citizens, and those in need in Chemung and Steuben counties.

Registration for Tour de Keuka is limited to 350 participants. Online registration ends at 5 p.m. Friday, August 2. Register

All rides start and finish at the Hammondsport Fire Station. Participants select 45-, 60-, or 100-mile routes around Keuka Lake.

Riders pay a registration fee and must meet a minimum fundraising goal of $150. All participants receive an event T-shirt and finisher gift. Participants who raise $350 or more in donations will also receive a special 2024 Tour de Keuka cycling jersey.

The 45-mile ride is dedicated to the memory of John “Jake” Geniviva, who passed away in 2018. Mr. Geniviva, who lived in Hammondsport and worked for Corning Incorporated, was an avid supporter of the Tour de Keuka.

Tour de Keuka’s title sponsor is Kennedy Valve Manufacturing Inc. of Elmira, a division of McWane Inc.
