United Way of the Southern Tier sponsors annual Stocking Stuffers Drive
Nov. 15, 2021:
You can make the winter holidays brighter for senior citizens in Chemung and Steuben counties by donating items for United Way of the Southern Tier’s annual Stocking Stuffers Drive to provide gifts for residents who receive home-delivered meals.
Chemung County Meals on Wheels, Corning Meals on Wheels, and the Senior Nutrition Program of Pro Action of Steuben and Yates Inc. are seeking the following items to fill stockings for their clients:
• Pens & small notepads
• Travel-size toiletries
• Travel-size hand sanitizer
• Travel-size lotions
• Pocket-size tissue packs
• Puzzle books
• Sugar-free hot cocoa packets
• Chapstick/lip balm
• Eye-glass cleaner
• Playing cards & Card games
Items can be dropped off at the meal programs or ordered online and shipped. The items will be placed in stockings or holiday bags and delivered to seniors who receive meals from the programs.
All items must be received by Wednesday, December 8.
