United Way of the Southern Tier and Wegmans have teamed up again this fall to make giving easy.

Wegmans shoppers in Corning, Elmira and Hornell can donate to United Way in the checkout lane by choosing to make a donation of $2, $3, or $5, or by rounding up their purchase to the nearest dollar.

"Every dollar helps support a program for a child, a senior, or a family in need in our community,” said United Way President and CEO Stephen Hughes. “A small gift can have a huge impact on people’s lives.”

All donations will be directed to United Way of the Southern Tier’s Game Changer Fund, which goes to programs in Chemung and Steuben counties that serve children, senior citizens, families and individuals including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, senior meals programs, and crisis services such as domestic violence shelters.

Wegmans shoppers can give at the checkout lane until late November.
