United Way of the Southern Tier holds annual Stocking Stuffers Drive

You can make the winter holidays brighter for senior citizens in Chemung and Steuben counties by donating items for United Way of the Southern Tier’s annual Stocking Stuffer Drive to provide gifts for local residents who receive home-delivered meals.
Corning Meals on Wheels, Meals on Wheels of Chemung County, and Pro Action’s Meals on Wheels of Steuben are seeking the following items to fill holiday stockings for their clients:
• Pens & small notepads
• Travel-size toiletries
• Travel-size hand sanitizer
• Travel-size lotions
• Pocket-size tissue packs
• Puzzle books
• Sugar-free hot cocoa packets
• Chapstick/lip balm
• Eye-glass cleaner
• Playing cards & card games
Items can be dropped off at any of the meal programs or can be ordered online and shipped directly to the program location. The items will be placed in stockings or holiday bags and delivered to seniors along with their holiday meals.
All items must be received no later than Wednesday, Dec. 14.
