Trike Race to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier

Sept. 18, 2023:

Teams from area banks, credit unions and financial groups will hop on tricycles at 7:45 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22, in Elmira, and find out who has the fastest feet in the financial sector.

Community Bank N.A. in Elmira will host the 19th Annual Trike Race, a fundraiser to benefit United Way of the Southern Tier.

The event is a relay race with teams of six adults riding 12-inch, child-size tricycles as fast as they can to win the coveted Trike Trophy.

The year’s race will take place in the parking lot of Community Bank at 300 W. Water St. in downtown Elmira.

Corning Credit Union will defend its 2022 title (watch the video!) as it rides against teams from CCU Wealth Strategies, Chemung Canal Trust Company, First Heritage Federal Credit Union, ServU Federal Credit Union, and Community Bank.

Spectators are welcome for this fun – and fast – race, which will be held rain or shine.
